Card abbreviations

You will usually find card names abbreviated to one letter or one number of cards from 2 to 9. For example, two – 2, and cards from 10 to ace as follows: ten – T, Jack – J, Queen – Q, King – K, Ace – A. The lowercase letter next to the card letters defines their suit: s – spades, c – clubs, h – hearts, d – diamonds. Combination examples: Ac – ace of clubs, Qh – queen of hearts.
